BIOGRAPHY
Robert King was born in Leicester in 1936. He attended Leicester College of Art (1952-
Robert King resumed art school in 1957.
Robert worked as a shoe designer
but continued to paint and exhibit in Leicester, London and abroad. Since 1989, Robert
King has exhibited on six occasions at Burlington Paintings.
Robert's last exhibition
in 1999, entitled, Robert King's "Grand Tour" was an outstanding success.
By using his enviable sense of colour, light and composition Robert’s sensual images convey warmth and intimacy to the viewer. His beautifully detailed female figures are often draped with semi transparent materials, and are captured in atmospheric and luxurious surroundings. Robert is renowned for working in a variety of mediums and his subject matters are diverse.
